Engineering development for solution of priority tasks in the field of development and optimization of power units for motor vehicles, agricultural machinery and stationary power industry.

Carries out fundamental and applied researches and engineering to solve the foreground tasks in the development and improvement of powerplants for automobiles, agricultural machines and stationary power, efficiency rise in use of unique experimental facilities and development of research methods and measurements. 

Current tasks

  • Research of working processes and development of combined powerplants in order to obtain technical data on the level of future international requirements for toxicity and fuel efficiency;
  • Powerplants new generation mathematical simulation models development;
  • Development of advanced battery modules for future road transport;
  • Development of control systems for combined powerplants and testing operations automation;
  • Research and development of prospective tendencies in the field of traction motor for electric vehicles and vehicles with combined powerplants;
  • Methods development and equipment for vehicles with combined powerplants testing;
  • Methodical work on test bench and motor parameter estimates of combined powerplants;
  • Development of research tools, testing and maintenance of combined powerplants.

Consulting services in the following areas:

  • Traditional ICE (Internal combustion engine) development.
    • Design and improvement of engine gas-blowing supply systems;
    • Development of methods and software for ICE characteristics computer modeling with variable turbocharged, charge air cooling (CAC) and the recirculation of exhaust gases to optimize the characteristics of the controlled turbocharger systems, CAC systems and recycling and the definition of modes and conditions to ensure the best performance of the engine.
    • Emission reduction of tractor diesel engines (oxides of nitrogen (NOx), harmful particles (PT), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) smoke emission) both ways of engine bench testing and following data processing of load characteristics of the engine and by developed techniques and computer modeling software;
    • Calculation and design of catalytic converters for ICE capacity from 1.0 to 1000 kW operating on gasoline, diesel fuel, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas, dimethyl ether, alcohols and other organic fuels;
    • ICE exhausts filtration systems development;
    • Selective neutralization of nitrogen oxides systems development;
    • Development of neutralizing systems for two-stroke engines;
    • Development of technologies for the manufacture of catalysts antitoxic systems of automobile engines and other installations and vehicles powered by ICE. 
  • Creation and improvement of powerplants.

    Creation and improvement of powerplants operating on alternative fuels, namely:

    • Creation the new generation of gas engines for motor vehicles and agricultural machinery;
    • Creation the new generation of gas-diesel engines for motor vehicles and agricultural machinery;
    • Creation of advanced combustion engines for motor vehicles and agricultural machinery running on alternative fuels (alcohols, hydrogen, DME, biodiesel, synthesis gas, ammonia, etc.);
    • Developing methods and conducting the technical-ecology-economic researches, ecology- energy-saving technologies used in the engine and automotive industries in the full life cycle;
    • Development of methods and software for computer modeling of power, economic and environmental performance of powerplants working on alternative fuels and their compositions;
    • The development of advanced methods of energy saving in road transport;
    • Creation the new generation of gas cylinder equipment for different types and models of vehicles, modernization of manufactured equipment;
    • Development of hydrogen storage systems and hydrogen fuel getting on board of the vehicle from renewable energy sources;
    • Developing methods and conducting bench and laboratory road testing on engines and motor vehicles running on alternative fuels;
    • Development of methods, special benches and equipment for technical maintenance and repair of natural gas vehicles supply systems;
    • Creation of gas-filled compressor stations garage type;
    • Development and manufacture of unique sensors and devices for automobile gas supply systems, test benches and AGFCS;
    • The development of normative-technical documents and participation in the development of regulations and standards.

    • Research and development work processes of combined powerplants to produce specifications on the level of advanced international requirements for toxicity and fuel efficiency;
